Every request that reaches your tagging server counts toward your quota, not just a tracked event: the tracking script loading, ad-block-relayed traffic, service worker calls and GTM Preview activity all count too, alongside real pageviews, conversions and custom events. Bot and scanner noise is the one exception. Measurebase filters it out automatically, so it's never billed.
Yes, anytime from your dashboard. An upgrade applies to your whole current billing cycle, not just the days left in it: the new limits unlock immediately, the cycle is re-billed at the new plan's rate, and everything you already paid for that cycle is credited against it. You pay only the difference between the two plans. Downgrades and monthly/yearly switches take effect at your next renewal instead, so you keep everything you've paid for until then (a yearly plan renews once its 12-month term ends). Cancelling works the same way: your plan stays active until the end of the paid period, then your account moves to the Free plan. And if you grow past your quota mid-cycle, auto-upgrade moves you up one tier so tracking never stops. You can turn that off on your billing page.

Any server-side container you like. We need your Server GTM container config so we can provision a tracking subdomain for it · that config is what tells us which container your tags should reach. It can be any server GTM container you want to boost with Measurebase.
Every domain is assigned a server location when you set it up. Today that is always Amsterdam, the Netherlands · our only location. We may add further locations inside the EU as we grow, purely for performance. Visitor data is never shared outside the EU.
Yes, every plan — including the free tier — includes a DPA governed by EU/Dutch law.
