How to delete your data
Measurebase connects to Meta (Facebook) and to Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google Tag Manager) only when an owner or admin of a Measurebase account connects them, to audit the tracking of their own websites. This page explains what we keep from those connections and how to delete it. For everything else we hold about you, see the privacy policy.
1. What we keep from a connection
- The access token for the connection, encrypted at rest. It lets us read the settings we audit and, only when you apply a fix, change them.
- Who connected it: the name or email of the connected Google account or Meta business system user, and when it was connected.
- The linked assets: the ids and names of the Meta pixel or dataset, ad accounts, GA4 property and data stream, Google Ads account and Tag Manager containers you linked to a website.
- Audit results: the settings and daily statistics read during an audit, such as conversion settings and event counts, shown in your tracking audit.
- Analytics figures (Google Analytics): for the GA4 property you linked, read once a day: daily aggregated figures such as sessions, users, page views, events, key events, revenue and purchases, by channel, landing page and page path (without query strings), event, device, browser, country and product. No user-level data such as client IDs, user IDs or transaction IDs. Deleted once no website in Measurebase links that property any more.
- Ad performance: for the ad accounts you linked, read once a day: daily spend, impressions, clicks, conversions and conversion values per campaign, ad group, keyword, search term and ad; impression share; the same figures by country, network, device and hour of day; budgets and their changes; and the status and policy review of campaigns and ads. Shown on the website’s Analytics tab and its Google Ads and Meta Ads pages.
- Search terms are the searches Google Ads itself reports for your ads. Google only lists terms that enough people searched for, and they are not linked to any person.
- Click ID matching (Google Ads): the click IDs (gclids) of clicks on your ads, stored only as a one-way hash and deleted after 7 days, plus daily counts of how many clicks reached your website with their click ID, per campaign and landing page.
- Landing pages: the addresses your ads and sitelinks lead to, and the result of our check whether a redirect on them drops the click ID.
From Meta and Google we read only your own advertising and measurement settings and statistics. We do not read the personal data of your customers or website visitors there, we never sell this data, and we do not use it for advertising. If you connect your own AI assistant through the Measurebase MCP server, it can read this data under the access you approved; revoke that access and it stops.
2. Disconnect a connection
In the dashboard, open the website, then Settings, and choose Disconnect on the Meta, Google Analytics or Google Ads connection. We revoke the token at Meta or Google and delete it from our systems right away; from that moment we can no longer read or change anything. For Meta, the Conversions API token that came with the connection is removed from the website’s setup too.
The ids of the linked assets stay with the website, so connecting again restores them. To remove those as well, delete the website or your account (sections 4 and 5).
3. Remove Measurebase at Meta or Google
You can also take away our access from the platform itself. Our token then stops working at once, and you can still disconnect in the dashboard to delete it from our systems.
- Meta: in Meta Business Suite, open Business settings, then Integrations, and remove Measurebase from your business integrations.
- Google: in your Google Account, open Security, then Your connections to third-party apps and services, choose Measurebase and delete all connections.
4. Delete a website
Deleting a website in the dashboard deletes its connections, the linked asset ids, its audit results, its ad performance figures, its click ID matching counts and its landing page checks together with it.
5. Delete everything
The owner of an account can delete it under Settings, as long as it has no paid subscription and has never recorded a request. Otherwise, email info@measurebase.com from the owner’s address and we delete the account, every connection and all data that came from Meta and Google within one month. Encrypted backups are overwritten by the nightly rotation within seven days after that. Invoices are kept for seven years, as Dutch tax law requires; they contain no data from Meta or Google.
